Workplace Respect Philosophy

Novaspect’s culture is based on the belief that all people have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. To ensure we achieve the desired impact of our identity and attain the highest standard of workplace culture, Novaspect is firmly committed to our core behaviors (teamwork, candor, passion, own the results, evolve) and creating a professional working environment in which all people are treated respectfully.

What is a Respectful Workplace?

A Respectful Workplace is a safe place of employment, free from unlawful discrimination and harassment, but more importantly, it is a work environment free of inappropriate or unprofessional behavior where employees are treated fairly, difference is acknowledged and valued, communication is open and civil, conflict is addressed early and there is a culture of empowerment and cooperation. It is a place where individuals feel a sense of belonging, connection, and community; where they are encouraged to bring their “whole selves” to work.

At Novaspect, everyone is responsible for creating a respectful environment and discussing workplace concerns without fear of retaliation or reprisal. 

We create awareness and understanding of different perspectives for employee owners to consider, not to promote or advocate for any specific perspective or belief.  We believe that these opportunities will improve our ability to understand differences between people, capture the value of diversity, and make us a stronger organization.

Culture Committee

Culture Committee

The Culture Committee helps to provide a positive employee experience by cultivating an environment through a spirit of enthusiasm.  It plays a key role in educating and employees on their role as employee owners, including planning company celebrations, delivering ownership training and communicating and modeling Novaspect's identity attributes.  The Culture Committee is comprised of members from all Novaspect and Midwest Valve Services locations, representing various departments, tenure, and roles.

Building a Sense of Belonging Committee

The Building a Sense of Belonging Committee focuses on sharing content throughout the year to build awareness of different viewpoints and perspectives while creating awareness and understanding of protected classes by highlighting different groups each month so that everyone feels included and valued.
